What’s Up Doc?

I am sitting in the Raleigh-Durham Airport waiting to fly home from Podcast Academy 5.

Before I came here I closed down my Yahoo! hosting because I wasn’t getting the full power of WordPress from their installation. For now I am going to use WordPress.com so that I can concentrate on my podcast content instead of website design.

I currently have my main podcast websites at http://virginiacampbellmd.com which is hosted by Yahoo! but I do not like the way Yahoo! prevents me from fully using the features available in  WordPress. I am thinking about changing hosts but I am worried that my Permalinks will get messed up. Therefore, I intend to post my Show Notes on WordPress.com until the situation is resolved.

So far I have successfully moved all my Brain Science Podcast notes to a back-up site.

In preparation for launching my podcasts I have chosen Yahoo! as a webhost because they seem oriented toward beginners and they will install and update WordPress.

I probably won’t be blogging much at this site, but for now I am going to keep the blog because I like the name.

If you are a fan of Flickr.com and dogs you may have seen pictures of Flicka. Since September, 2005 this fearless pink flamingo (yes she is a stuffed tog toy!) has been traveling the world. Her most memorable adventure was probably hang-gliding in Brazil. Since she is a tog toy visiting dogs is a big part of her adventure.

At any rate she arrived in Alabama a few days ago and you can follow her adventures either on my Flickr page or at the Group page (Flicka’s K9 World Tour).

She is barely half-way through her scheduled tour. In 2007 she will be traveling across the Atlantic to the UK and Europe.
